I like to classify my current personal style as evolving and interesting. Somedays i wear pieces that make my mother cringe and other days, looks can and will be served. The one thing that stays consistent with my style is my love for unique pieces/ elements. whether its the accessory, a bag, a shoe etc. I’m always looking to add a standout piece to tie the whole look together. And thats where this new baby comes in. MEET the cutest bag in my ollection. this pink bucket from ILOVEMYMUSE. but you can call her TALA. Shop here.
This bag INSTANTLY caught my eye when i first came across it on their instagram because its such a unique piece. The color and its shape is sure to have everyone asking you where you picked it up from. Plus it looks so good against almost every single outfit. i'v personally never seen anything like it before and the compliments haven't stopped rolling in.
The brand itself currently carries a variety of unique bags. which is one of the reasons i wanted to introduce them to you. i feel like they've got something in there for everyone. if you're looking for a more subtle pick i'd say look at their CELINE or CARRIE bags. and if you're craving a wildcard the TALA or their new ACRYLIC checkered bag is the way to go! they're definitely on my watch list for places to shop unique/one of a kind pieces gems.
check out their full catalog HERE and pick up something for yourself or MOM! because mothers day is on the way. And mama could use a new purse.
Till the next post,
TTYL!

Consider this an introduction to people ON HER RADAR
Meet ARKET, a clothing brand i discovered through one of my favourite bloggers Lizzy Hadfield aka Shotfromthestreet. I'm currently in a phase were I'm obsessed with all things basics. And ARKET is definitely on my top five. Their tailored suits are to DIE for and whilst I'm yet to pick up pieces of my own. Im definitely taking styling inspiration from their Lookbooks. also SHORT SUIT SETS. i support that message. Here are some pieces currently on my wishlist. what about you? whats on your radar?

Gvnthelabel -- i spotted the brand online when i came across the prettiest share of green on a sandal. The Selene in Green apple, which you can shop HERE. Dare i call it love at first sight? and they lived happily ever after?....
Gvnthelabel, a Philippine-based brand, which sources and manufactures locally made leather bags perfect for the every day. I learnt as i did further research that they make use of vegan leather because they don't believe in the use of animal skin as part of their advocacy as a brand. The fashion industry is a contributor to practices like poaching, unethical skinning and pollution because of demand, mass production or fast fashion so i really do appreciate when brands make a conscious effort to keep our home its life and beauty in tact. That being said I'm not vegan, I'm not perfect. I do eat meat, i have shopped at fast fashion retailers and as i grow as an individual I'm learning to make wiser choices and working on adjusting my lifestyle.
Back to the GVN, which btw! is a cute name( hella bougee) they also sent me a sandal and bag from their newest release: The Croc Collection, which you can shop HERE . The line easily reminds me classic french style. Coming in multiple staple colors and easily transfers from day to night.
For sizing, they only run up to a size 9 whilst my feet are a size 10. I assumed because they're sandals i could squeeze into them and i was right. For the selene's, because they come with straps upfront my feet go over abit. But its nothing too horrible. For the Croc slides, these are kinder since they're just slip-ons. Just like any other shoe. when you first get in them there needs to be a period of breaking them in because the sandal will have to make your acquaintance. After that they're pretty good.
Regarding quality. The shoes are very soft. When i took my first step, i was surprised because I'm normally used to sandals or shoes having a stronger block feel to them. But as i walk in them more, I actually really like the fact that they're soft cause it makes it comfortable for long walks. That being said, do be careful with where walk with the selene's to because they do scar easy. You'll notice most of it at the square front.
And thats that! I adore the pieces they sent over. They've become staples in my closet and honestly are the perfect pieces for the summer season. Im taking my selene's everywhere! and i recommend you pick a pair or two up. i'd say look at the Buko, chico, rust in selene or crimson for the croc line. They also just launched a mini croc handbag which you can shop HERE
Im putting up a full video on styling them next week on the youtube channel so stay tuned for that and subscribe if you haven't! enjoy the pictures and ill see ya soon

Inspired by women in the 40's -50's i put together this take on a power suit.
i think when it comes to workwear, its important to wear pieces that inspire and propel you further. The saying don't dress for the job you have but the one you want rings true. That being said do take in your circumstances and adjust properly. Don't dress like a clown (if thats your life goal) at your desk job. Just throw in a pop of color and a red lip to sub for a red nose.
My dream is the mysterious sleek hair lady that has it all together and then some. But currently I'm a frantic 21 year old with an extensive meme collection so theres that. Till we reach that level of chic ill let the clothes finesse for me.
